Today we went to Balboa Park. It was so beautiful! Julia had fun running out what little energy that she had left. We had a rough night last night with her and when I say we, I mean I. =) Well anyways, I am not sure what it was probably a bad dream or something but pretty much she and I have been up since 3 or so with about an hours rest till the sun came up. I just couldn't settle her down she kept wiggling around. We also had a friend sleeping over so I felt bad for waking him. Right now though she is finishing up an almost 3 hour nap so I guess we are about even =) Last week we tried finger painting for the 1st time. It was SO fun watching her and she loved it! We will be doing that again for sure.
Thanksgiving was great! We went over to Luke's Aunt Nancy's for dinner. The food was amazing! You are such a great chef Aunt Nancy. After that we went up to see my Sister Kristen and her family up at Ken and Mary's. We had a great time visiting. Julia was so tired that she slept in till 10 after eight the next morning. I could get used to that. =) I hope this post finds everyone happy and healthy...on to December we go! Can you believe it?

Halloween 2008

We had a great Halloween! Julia was a pirate! It was so much fun picking out the outfit together. Luke thought she would really like the scull necklace and she loved it! I had fun surprising Luke with a few pictures for "Daddy's garage".
It was so fun listing to her really be able to talk this year! I love the way she says "trick or treat" and her "thank yous" were melting my heart. She has so much to say now!! It is truly amazing!!
Time is so precious....

Sea World

On Sunday I took Julia to Sea World. We had so much fun cruising around a checking out their Halloween Spooktackular. There is a Sesame Street themed play area that Julia just loves. I took her on the flying fish ride and she loved it! We got to see the show about Pets, that was fun! She also held her 1st star fish and really thought that was cool.

Spending time with NaNa and PaPa at the dome

Last week Julia and I went up to Luke's parents house to help watch my Niece and Nephew. The kids had so much fun playing together!! Julia was excited about watching.... with me holding her...the stink bugs cruising around. When she saw one she would run to me and say "hold you Mama". With such wide open spaces and lots of dirt, Mid afternoon showers were a must for everyone. They were having fun coloring and moving dirt from on place to the other while we worked on the planes.
On one of our days we went to the craft store and got face paint. Yeah that stuff doesn't come off as easily as it says it should. The kids had so much fun!! They were taking full advantage of our willingness to join in on the fun. It took me 3 scrub cloths and a hot shower to get all of mine off. And for days I could still see Julia's name on her tummy. We went to Apollo Park and fed the ducks. It was Julia's 1st time and she was having so much fun! This is the same park that Luke used to go fishing at as a kid. So that was neat.
We went to the pumpkin patch. Julia had a hard time settling on a pumpkin, she must have picked up and dropped about 5 before she finally decided on one just her size.
Thanks for having us up there Mom and Dad we had a great time!!

She can sing her ABC's it is so fun...she gets a little hung up around LMNOP but she knows them. Here are a few pictures from our time with them. It's fixed

Yay! I have a working car!! Toyota was finally able to fix it. It turns out that it was the crank shaft positioning sensor. This $160 part only cost $800 to figure out. But oh well!! It is SO nice to have a car again! So hopefully we wont have any problems with it for a while, we shouldn't anyways with all the stuff we replaced. =) The first morning I had it back Julia and I went to Balboa Park to the Science Center and met up with my friend Jen and her baby Tristan. We had such a nice time together. The kids are 1 year apart. It is amazing what 1 year does. Inside the center there is a place called "kid city" it is especially for kids under 5. Julia had a blast! She and Tristan are just so cute together! Yesterday we went to the Miramar Air Show. It was AWESOME!!! My Sister and Nephew came down and went with us. Julia loved seeing the planes! The Blue Angels were and always are my favorite.

Locking myself out of the house this morning....

Ok so the morning started out pretty rough and then got rougher. Julia was in and out of time out for not listening. Finally got my 2 minutes out of her. We kept having to go back and forth to try and get the car started because it had to go to Toyota this morning to hopefully get this car fixed! Toyota still has no clue but at this point they are still looking at it for free so what can I say it's the right price. So I finally get the car started and Julia and I go back in the house to get our bag, keys etc. and a hand full of change...I wanted to go to the store and buy water since I knew I wouldn't have a car for the next few days. Well it turns out that what I thought were keys in my pocket was actually change and I locked us out! Luckily the window to our room was partially opened and somewhat locked with one of those "locks". Yeah those are pretty much useless! I took off the screen and put Julia in the window then climbed in myself, you can only imagine how bad that looked as I was half in and half out. But I made it! Julia loved it! When I set her in though the window she said "doing Mama?" It was so cute! I think she is hoping that it will be the new way of getting in the house. So back out the front door we go, this time with keys in hand. =) We head to the grocery store for water and french bread, for dinner tonight of course. Ummm yummy Lasagna. We bring that stuff back and drop it off then we are off to Toyota. We get there and the guy that we have been dealing with must be on break. They page him with no response so some other guy took over after about 15 mins of trying to find him. Usually we do this drop off pick up thing with Luke so it isn't usually a big deal. But I have to say I felt today that because he wasn't with me things defiantly didn't go as smooth as I think they should. We were waiting for a shuttle for about a half hour and Julia had had it! She was screaming and crying and it was taking forever. It was SO hot and it defiantly was nap time!! So when the shuttle came I loaded her and our things up and off we went. She fell asleep in the shuttle and I just carried her in to the house still in the car seat. If you know Julia this never happens! I was able to lay her down and she is still napping as I write. Yay!! So today has been just one of those busy "Mom days" Here are some recent pictures of Julia....Enjoy!

Well there is still no completely fixed car to report....LOL...Yesterday morning after Luke tried starting it with no luck I went out an hour later and guess what it started right up. I am so confused. It is like "Christine"! We did drop it off at Toyota last night for them to look at today. Still waiting to hear back from them. Today Julia and I went for a walk to the bank and then came home to get the Santa sack full of laundry, ok maybe just 3 loads full. Then hoofed it down the street to the laundromat to do. Luckily Julia does really well when we do laundry. She is "my helper" when it comes to putting it in the machine anyway. Unfortunately while we were their waiting for the dryer to finish her diaper decided to give out and I had to change her clean her and then leave her in only a diaper and her pink crocks. Though she did look cute! Oops I forgot to replace the just in case outfit. I swear though when we were walking home I sure was wishin for some AC. It was close to 80!! Auggh I sure hope they fix this car once and for all!! Also a couple of days ago my Cousin her kids and Julia and I took a walk to South Park just to check it out. It was really fun!! We stopped and had some ice cream at a cool parlor. My Parents coming to San Diego in Oct to celebrate 40 years. So the last picture is of Julia and a note that we emailed to "Mema" at work. She loved it! We can't wait to see you guys!!!

Julia is growing up before my eyes!!

I can't believe all the changes that have taken place in the last couple of weeks. Last night as we were having dinner we taught Julia how to do "thumbs up" it was the cutest thing ever and Tonight as I was reading her "Goodnight Moon"...our nightly story, she said the words "the cow jumping over the moon" without missing a beat! It surprised me!! She is so dang smart and growing everyday. We had fun on our bike ride yesterday. Julia has now decided that she likes it for more than 10 mins...she can usually make it for about 30 before she wants out!
On a bad note we have been having car troubles for the last 2 months and today Julia was out there helping Luke change the fuel filter...unfortunately that too was not the problem and the car is still broke. I have been saying that we now have a Johnny Cash car...one piece at a time. I don't know what else we can replace we have replaced the starter, plugs, cap, roater, battery, wires, fuel pump, fuel filter, relay circuit...you name it and it has been replaced. Aughh I am so frustrated!!! Tomorrow we are going to try to get it started and take it to another shop. Wish us luck! =)
